The Ordinary's 7% Glycolic Acid Toning Solution | +1 year Review

May 31, 2021
 Assalamualaikum

Let me calculate for a min--

After exactly 1 year, 2 months and 21 days, I used up all of my 7% glycolic tonic acid toner.

A quick recap of my skin condition before I started to revamp my whole skincare routine. I have acne-prone skin, oily, blackheads, acne scars and hyperpigmentation. Too much chaos isn't it? It has been going around since 2013.

I bought this from Danadnan Shopee, at RM46 (During promotion). The normal price is usually around RM70.

Since I have never used AHA or BHA on my skin before, I used this twice a week. After my skin has adapted to this, I used it very.single.day!

REVIEW

Did it reduce my dark spots? Oh yes, it did!

What about my skin texture?

This part is tricky.

I have many scars from previous years of acnes, wilding on my skin. Surprisingly, it does reduce the appearance of my scars. But sadly, it didn't completely even out my skin texture, I still have little boxy scars on my nose, a little bit on my cheeks if look closely in the mirror.

My old scars are stubborn.

From far, my skin looks smooth o(* ̄▽ ̄*)ブ.

I have been using this with my other skincare products, (The Ordinary's Niacinamide, L-ascorbic acid powder and moisturizer) and my face is acne ...FREEE (except when that red month approaching).

I recommend this product for anyone searching for a good exfoliator, especially to reduce dark spots appearance.

Disclaimer: This post is not sponsored. (But DIACEM, if you want, I am ready to do it 😉). This is based upon my experience and the outcome might be different based on different skin types.
