I tried to bake Macaron..again

Can you name one of the most difficult desserts to make on this planet?





Ema dah lama give up bake macaron sebab the last two attempts years ago, tak menjadi. 

I think my baking skill got better now, walaupun tak perfect, Ema nak try balik buat macaron. Mungkin terlalu manis bagi sesetengah orang. 

Semalam Ema bake Macaron - one of the hardest desserts to make. Walaupun tutorial YT nampak senang, senang juga Macaron tu rosak. Kenapa? It's all about the technique. 




Perfect macaron ada "feet", no hollow in shell, crusty outside and chewy inside. 
Previously, Ema buat tak ada feet, and few got loop sided. Lepas tu Sis tak buat-buat dah.

Baking Time
Ema ok saja bab beating the egg white..Tapi, bila macronage...Ema overmixed. Mixture jadi slightly runny so it dispersed on the baking sheet a bit. Which is also..a sign of disaster to come.

Lepas tu Ema tersalah tengok temperature 🤣. Dia kata preheat 180c baru bake at 130c. What  I read - bake in 180c and lower the temperature to 130c. Adalah overburnt sedikit.

Walaupun macaron ni tak perfect as it supposed to be, I actually made an improvement! 

Ada feet, the shell was crusty and chewy interior. Tapi, disebabkan overmix, it expands and the feet bulge outward. The shell was hollow sebab Ema tak remove the air completely during macronage.

It's okay. Next time I will get better. Resepi ini ok juga, tapi mungkin kena ubah temperature to 145c and bake dalam 12-14 minit. Again, it depends on your oven.

  1. Wah, hebatlah! Macaroon memang jenuh nak buat, kan? Paling frust, elok-elok kita buat time cuaca panas, tiba-tiba hujan... dah tak berkaki macaroon tu :D
